The Opportunity:
As a Feeder Packer or other entry-level role, you will support machine operators by feeding cartons, inspecting product quality, and assisting with basic machine operation. You will help ensure smooth workflow, safe production practices, and consistent product quality. This role provides hands-on experience in machine support, packing, material handling, and preventative maintenance within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
How You Will Impact Smurfit Westrock:
  • Verify job information before running production.
  • Inspect product for printing and cutting quality.
  • Feed cartons into the machine.
  • Restart the machine as needed.
  • Maintain basic machine functions, including knowledge of the Leary System.
  • Perform basic palletizing and packing for all job types.
  • Assist operators with packing station setup, including tape machines and inkjet printers.
  • Assist operators with make-ready tasks.
  • Help locate corrugated cases when needed.
  • Perform rework duties as assigned.
  • Ensure product safety and quality; report any concerns to Senior Management or the Quality Manager.
