Job Description

Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Electronics engineering team is rapidly growing to support the development of Flight Termination Systems and Tactical electronics in support of Space & Defense applications. EBAD seeks a motivated engineer for the position of an Electronics Development Engineer reporting to the Product Development Lead.

This role is responsible for providing engineering support to the electronics project development team, engaged in electronic product development for military and space applications. They participate in a cross-functional team for all technical aspects of the program from concept through development, qualification, and production. This position is located in Simsbury, CT.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaboration with other functional groups (Design, Test, Quality, Production)

  • Product Testing (PCBA Prototype, Design Verification, Environmental, Risk Reduction, and Qualification)

  • Validation of Technical Requirements

  • Creation of Test Plans, Procedures, Reports & Change Requests

  • Electronic Troubleshooting (Product & Test Equipment Hardware, Software)

  • Test data Gathering, Analysis & Presentation

  • Coordination Activities (Test Lab Requests/Scheduling, Procurement of Parts)

  • Participating in technical communications with customers

  • Preparing and presenting technical content for milestone reviews

  • Continuous Improvement (CI) Initiative Participation

  • Failure Investigation Participation

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical/Electronics, or Computer is preferred)

  • Previous experience leading cross-functional project teams

  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills

  • Aerospace and Defense product development experienced preferred

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience preferred, but new graduates with applicable backgrounds will be considered
