This position is onsite in Boston until the office relocates to Hopkinton, MA in August 2026.
Overview:
Revvity is in search of a Process Development Chemist to join our dynamic team of scientists in Boston. In this role, you will be integral to the manufacturing process of synthetic chemical products essential for scientific research worldwide. As a Process Development Chemist, you will play a vital role within our production team, contributing to the transfer, implementation, and ongoing production of our products in the laboratory setting. As we work on a long-term project to improve our catalog products, you - along with the rest of the team - will help to introduce and manufacture both our legacy product line and our new and improved processes, while ensuring that our catalog meets the highest standards as AlphaLISA products are introduced to new and exciting markets. This full-time position, Monday through Friday, offers a flexible work schedule and is located at our Boston site until July 2026 at which point the entire site will transition to our Revvity Hopkinton site. Role & Responsibilities:
  • Execute product manufacturing according to established procedures, record the data, interpret results and validate the quality of data.
  • Utilizing traditional synthetic chemical techniques, the scientist will execute routine chemical procedures involving solid state chemistry, wet chemistry, organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, HPLC, analytical analysis for the production and analysis of chemical compounds.
  • Works safely and in compliance with all applicable federal and local regulations, follows written or electronic procedures and performs quality control.
  • Ensure products are manufactured on time, within specifications and at low cost.
  • Support general lab functions, maintenance of equipment, product quality, packaging, on-time delivery of products, ensure cleanliness of workplace and good general laboratory techniques.
  • May participate in production procedures revision and authorship.
  • May participate in research and implementation of new and improved processes to ensure that our catalog meets the highest standards as AlphaLISA products are introduced to new and exciting markets.
  • Investigate and respond to complaints, familiar with CAPA systems, respond to inquiries from tech support, customer care and customers.
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of the manufacturing methods.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a Life Sciences field AND a minimum of two years of laboratory experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Good familiarity with synthetic chemical equipment and modern analytical tools such as HPLC, FTIR, UV-Vis or similarly related equipment.
  • Ability to interpret data from biochemical, radiological and chemical assays, with an understanding of standard statistical tools.
  • Knowledge of organizational principles, chemical processes, inventory control systems, 5S, and lean manufacturing.
  • Good interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with prior experience in SAP or similar ERP systems.

COMPENSATION RANGE:
The annual base salary range for this full-time position is $65,500 - 87,500. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this position. The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account internal equity, work location, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
Please note that base pay is only one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This range allows for the successful candidate to have an opportunity to progress within the position and develop at our company. This base pay range does not take into account bonuses, equity, or other benefits which may be applicable and are dependent on the level and position offered.
