Job description

Assistant Product Development Chemist
Primary purpose of job:
To support the technical team by facilitating product development, methods development, quality control, and research.
Major Duties of Job:
  • Support Product Development Chemist by formulating various aerospace products based on written/outlined design procedures.
  • Support Product Development Chemist by conducting new product technical data collection experiments for future customer product implementation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve existing products.
  • Identify opportunities to improve existing methods and procedures.
  • Provide equipment support and perform analyses as needed
  • Troubleshoot production requirements as needed
Minimum Requirements:
  • Interact with the external technical community to identify opportunities and develop relationships
  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or biology.
  • 2+ years of experience working in a chemical laboratory.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and other data analytic tools.
  • Experience developing products for the aerospace industry. Target product areas include coating removal, engine overhaul, exterior/interior cleaners, and chemical processing.
  • Experience developing quality control methods and procedures.
