About the role

Waste Processing Technician I (WPTI) is an entry-level position within the Sustainable Site Solutions division of Reworld. The WPTI is responsible for the collection and processing of waste material from their client's facility. The WPTI takes their direction from the Project Manager when applicable. The WPTI will utilize various forms of machinery to perform their everyday tasks, including forklifts, compactors, and balers. This position will handle various types of waste during their daily routine and is expected to be safety conscious and understand the correct PPE to utilize during their tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate heavy equipment such as fork trucks, balers, compactors, etc.
  • Process waste materials into like commodities or in accordance with vendor specifications
  • General housekeeping. Sweeping, washing and other maintenance of the area(s) Reworld is responsible for
  • Preventative Maintenance paperwork for equipment
  • Loading/Unloading of van trailers and/or flat beds
  • Managing collection points within a client's facility
  • Ability to demonstrate how your actions support Reworld Values and Behaviors, including Safe and Inclusive Workplace, Delivering Results through Trust and Building Breakthrough Capabilities.
  • Interact with plant personnel to determine needs of the local areas

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma / GED preferred
  • 1+ year of experiencein shipping/receiving like environment
  • Forklift experience preferred
  • Able to pass respirator fit test
  • Ability to demonstrate how your actions support Reworld Values and Behaviors, including Safe and Inclusive Workplace, Delivering Results through Trust and Building Breakthrough Capabilities.
  • Ability to utilize NetSuite

The range below reflects Reworld's reasonable estimate of base pay for this role based on primary posting location. It is expected that most qualified candidates in this location will fall within the posting range. The final salary offered for this role will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to: experience, education, geographic location, skills and competencies, travel requirements and/or union contracts (if applicable). Pay ranges are reviewed from time to time and may be modified in the future.

The pay range for the primary location of this position is: 17.12 - 22.74 USD per hour
