Job description


Preventive Maintenance Service Engineer contributes to the success of Hartwig by keeping our customers' CNC machine tools running at peak operating levels by performing preventive maintenance. This is a great entry level opportunity for someone with mechanical maintenance experience who wants to learn about CNC machines.

Main responsibilities of this full-time role based in the Tulsa, OK area include:

  • Conduct efficient and timely preventive maintenance to include changing fluids, filters and checking accuracy of calibrations
  • Recommend modifications and improvements to machines, equipment and processes
  • Train and instruct customers on preventive maintenance best practices
  • Schedule preventive maintenance customer visits
  • Increase field sales by promoting the PM program and other opportunities
  • Conduct inventory counts
  • Ability to complete necessary tasks in our service software and timecard system on a daily basis
  • Traveling to customer sites, usually within 2 hours from home, with occasional overnight travel

Individuals who ideally fit this role will reside in the Tulsa, OK area and should meet the following qualifications:

  • Above average mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • Relevant mechanical or preventive work experience, inspection and/or repair experience
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer satisfaction
  • Excellent attention to detail and follow through
  • Ability to work independently, a go getter that finds the next customer that needs our help
  • Someone who doesn't mind getting dirty or working in hot/cold environments
  • Good driving record and valid driver's license to ensure fleet vehicle insurability
