We are seeking a experienced Estimator to join our growing team. This role provides hands-on training with our estimating processes and tools, including quantity takeoffs, proposal preparation, bid analysis, and estimating software. Responsibilities
  • Support the preparation of construction cost estimates by reviewing project plans, specifications, and bid documents for retail and commercial projects, under the guidance of a senior estimator.
  • Assist with quantity takeoffs and help analyze labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs to contribute to accurate and competitive bids.
  • Communicate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to gather pricing, clarify scope, and support bid development.
  • Help organize and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure alignment with project requirements and budget expectations.
  • Assist in preparing proposals, including cost breakdowns, scope summaries, and supporting documentation for bid submissions.
  • Support the preconstruction team in assembling bid packages and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Maintain organized digital records of takeoffs, bid documents, subcontractor proposals, contracts, and correspondence.
  • Assist in monitoring project budgets and tracking awarded project costs for learning and cost-control exposure.
  • Support the development and use of estimating templates and standardized processes to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Provide estimating support on a variety of projects, including retail build-outs, restaurant construction, renovations, rollouts, and commercial remodels.
  • Learn and utilize estimating tools such as Excel, Bluebeam, and other takeoff or estimating software (training provided).
  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment by participating in internal meetings and supporting project managers and senior estimators as needed.

Experience
  • Entry-Level / Junior Estimating Experience: Previous internship experience, assistant estimating roles, construction field experience, or relevant coursework in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.   • Basic Understanding of Construction & Takeoffs: Familiarity with reading construction drawings and specifications. Willingness to learn how to perform quantity takeoffs and assist in analyzing labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor pricing under senior estimator guidance.
