The Position

Responsible for executing advanced data analysis projects that support site data and digitalization efforts with respective complexity (according to the technical development pathway) and with little to no guidance from the manager.

Relationships

Reports to Manager.

Essential Functions

  • Execute projects with the aim of developing, validating, implementing, and maintaining analysis tools to support data-driven decisions using established methodologies
  • Implement advanced predictive modeling/forecasting, real-time monitoring and business control systems integration, statistical process control and optimization techniques, using front-end applications
  • Identify and ideate improvement-optimization projects using input from stakeholder needs. Define problem formulation, objectives, and scope with stakeholders
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the design and building of data pipelines for cleaning, transforming, and combining datasets from wide variety of data sources
  • Support manufacturing, business, and project departments with process understanding, analyses, and systematic problem solving
  • Train stakeholders in relevant areas on implemented AMS solutions
  • Maintain and improve AMS solutions when manufacturing or business issues/process changes occur, new user requirements are provided, or for continuous improvement efforts
  • Own self development & initiative to understand the site process control systems, data management systems, and differing data sources (PCS, MES, SAP, PI Historian)
  • Understand cLEAN within the main areas of Systematic Problem Solving, process improvement, & project management
  • Operate within compliance with a quality mindset that focuses on risk management & mitigation
  • Support Corporate, PS AM, local IT, & local stakeholder initiatives & projects
  • Adhere to the Change Management standards and always manage assignments within compliance with a Quality Mindset that focuses on risk management and mitigation. Utilize the appropriate cLEAN tools when relevant
  • Follow all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of duties
  • Other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements

Ability to work in an open office environment with the possibility of frequent distraction. Ability to travel up to 10% of the time. (% can change on a case-by-case basis based on the role.)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or relevant field of study from an accredited university required
  • May consider an Associate's Degree in Engineering Technology or a relevant field of study from an accredited university with a minimum of two (2) years of Engineering experience required, preferably in a process-based manufacturing, utility and/or packaging systems
  • May consider a High School Diploma (GED) with (4) years of Engineering or related field experience required, preferably in a process-based manufacturing, utility and/or packaging systems
  • Minimum of two (2) years of Engineering experience in process-based manufacturing, utility, &/or packaging systems preferred
  • Knowledgeable in the following applications or technologies:  MES, PCS, PI Historian, Data Analytics and Visualization Platforms (Alteryx, Tableau, PowerBI)
  • Experience (e.g., project management) in planning/organization & project execution, follow-up, & completion preferred
  • Ability to translate high level direction into actionable tasks that deliver results using cLEAN / Six Sigma methodologies preferred
  • Strong engineering knowledge, demonstrating ability to handle most situations independently and with minimal guidance preferred
  • Ability to identify better practice and create improvements in methods, techniques, approaches, etc. Required
  • Proven expertise in Windows based operating systems and associated applications preferred
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience (GxP) preferred
