Join a quickly growing Iowa company in the manufacturing industry! Master Dowel LLC is seeking a Quality Control Technician to maintain quality standards by approving incoming materials, reviewing in-process production, and checking finished products. If you have strong attention to detail and a critical eye for quality, this position is for you!


Quality Tech Job Duties:

  • Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials. Measure products with rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers.
  • Approves in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to the production supervisor.
  • Removes all products and materials that fail to meet specifications.
  • Approves finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work.
  • Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; and inputting data into a quality database.
  • Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and calling for repairs and calibration.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications.
  • Accomplishes quality and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
  • Read blueprints and specification data.
  • Discuss inspections results with those responsible for products.
  • Report inspections and test data.
