The Prince George's County Police Department is currently seeking qualified applicants to fill a Human Resources Assistant 1P, grade P13 position, in the Police Personnel Division.
About the Position
This is a dually allocated entry level paraprofessional position. The incumbent in this class of work performs routine day-to-day human resources operations by communicating and responding to non-technical human resources inquiries from employees and various outside entities in person, over the phone or via electronic communication. The incumbent will be responsible for providing support to the Police Personnel Division. Work is performed under the close supervision of a higher-level human resources analyst or supervisor and is reviewed for accuracy, timeliness, and conformance with established guidelines and procedures. The incumbent in this position is authorized to carry out those duties and responsibilities in accordance with the established performance standards and is subject to reporting and justifying task outcomes to those above him/her in the department's chain of command.

General Plan Information:
The Prince George's County benefits plan year is from January 1 to December 31.
A spouse (to include a same sex spouse) can be added to the health benefit plans. A marriage certificate and social security number is required to add a spouse.
Children under the age of 26 are eligible for coverage under the health benefit plans. This includes stepchildren and children of the same-sex spouse. A birth certificate(s) and social security number(s) is required to add a child(ren).
