Job description

The Medical Transport Driver ensures timely, safe and courteous transport of patients within hospital grounds. In this role you will maintain the cleanliness and readiness of the vehicle, and supports emergency medical staff when needed. This is the perfect position for an EMT student looking to gain hands-on experience in patient care, medical skills, and customer service.
Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate ambulance or medical transport vehicle according to company, state, and federal regulations.
  • Assist patients in and out of vehicles, ensuring safety and dignity throughout the process.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, healthcare professionals, and team members.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety issues.
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure medical equipment and supplies are stocked and functional.
  • Provide basic patient care support and comfort measures as directed by EMTs or medical staff.
