Entry level post construction cleaning involves removing debris, dust, and leftover construction materials from newly built or renovated buildings. Workers in this role clean floors, windows, walls, and fixtures to prepare the property for occupancy or final inspection. This job typically requires attention to detail, the ability to follow safety guidelines, and basic cleaning skills, but does not usually require prior experience. It is an important step in making a construction site safe and presentable for clients or tenants.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an entry level post construction cleaner?

To excel as an Entry Level Post Construction Cleaner, you need basic knowledge of cleaning techniques, familiarity with safety procedures, and, preferably, a high school diploma or equivalent. Experience with industrial cleaning equipment, such as vacuums, floor scrubbers, and personal protective equipment (PPE), is often required. Attention to detail, reliability, and effective communication are valuable soft skills in this role. These abilities ensure construction sites are thoroughly cleaned, safe, and ready for use, meeting client expectations and regulatory standards.

Job description

Description

City Wide Facility Solutions is the largest management company in the building maintenance industry. We secure and manage commercial contracts and partner with skilled independent contractors to perform the work. We handle the sales, client communication, billing, and collections - so you can focus on doing what you do best.

We are selectively partnering with established Independent Contractors and service companies to service our commercial clients in the region. If you operate a structured business, deliver professional facility maintenance, restoration, or renovation services, and are looking for steady, recurring work - without the burden of chasing new contracts or managing collections - this may be a strong fit.

City Wide helps you grow your revenue, keep your crews busy, and get paid consistently - including guaranteed payment on the 10th for work performed.

We operate throughout South Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana - a strong commercial market with warehouses, medical facilities, manufacturing sites, schools, and municipal buildings.

For more information, contact Sandra Rivas at 708-365-8535 or chicagoshores-ic@gocitywide.com.

  • General liability insurance (required)
  • Workers' compensation coverage (as applicable)
  • Reliable crew and transportation

Preferred:

  • Experience working alongside general contractors or project managers
  • Ability to scale crews based on project size

The Opportunity

City Wide Facility Solutions is seeking experienced construction cleaning contractors to support our commercial client base across the region.

We work with property managers, general contractors, and facility owners who require reliable, high-quality post-construction cleaning to bring spaces from build-ready to occupancy-ready.

This is a project-based opportunity with the potential for ongoing work, depending on performance, responsiveness, and quality of execution.

If you operate a structured cleaning business and are looking to supplement your pipeline with well-coordinated commercial projects, this may be a strong fit.

If this is your company, keep reading.
