As an Entry Level Bench Operator (Component technician apprentice) you'll set up and operate a variety of hand tools such as hammers, files, drills, presses, pedestal grinders and belt grinders, low temperature ovens and hand grinders to perform various operations such as grinding, blasting & stripping, chasing threads, deburring, angle checking, coldworking metals, masking. You'll also be responsible for general needs around the facility including cleaning, shipping and receiving, and completing overflow work.
**Entry level position, no experience needed. We will train qualified candidates.
Pay Range: $19.21 - $28.81 per hour plus quarterly bonus opportunity. Actual compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
Shift Availability
Positions are available on 1st shift
What you'll do:
  • Conduct sheet metal forming and blending on a variety of Turbine engine components utilizing a belt sander pneumatic tools and pedestal grinders and various hand tools and fixturing aids, using the correct blending materials and techniques to restore the correct profile and contour of the Turbine Engine hot section turbine components per the Engine Manuals.
  • Ensure maintenance operations are performed in the appropriate sequence.
  • Ensure that all test equipment or tools used to make airworthiness determinations is labeled in accordance with the RSQM before use.
  • Complete the appropriate paperwork.
  • Complete all maintenance or alteration processes IAW established standard work processes.
  • Support cell personnel with the performance and appropriate documentation of maintenance or alterations performed.
  • Confirm quality of work performed through routine in-process checks.
  • Track and communicate status of assigned work orders to ensure on time delivery is met.
  • Cover for absent team members to avoid interrupting the flow.
  • Assist with Shipping & Receiving team and other areas of the shop when necessary
  • Perform start-up and shut down activities and keeping the facility clean as assigned.

Basic Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year experience demonstrating basic mechanical aptitude and basic machine tool operation
  • Lift up to 25lbs without assistance.
  • Able to stand for minimum 50% of time during the shift.

Desired Skills:
  • Thoroughly familiar with the use of all tooling, equipment, technical data and inspection aids for their overhauling of the hot section turbine components.
  • Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions.
  • Willingness to learn and handle multiple tasks
