Are you ready to jumpstart your journey in healthcare? Novant Health is hiring an Entry-Level Pharmacy Technician to join our dedicated pharmacy team, to deliver optimal medication management across all dimensions of care, every time!
Forsyth Medical Center
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week - 1st/2nd rotating shift, every other weekend

Essential functions include:
  • Filling and delivering medication orders for all age groups under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
  • Answering and screening telephone calls and referring calls to a pharmacist when appropriate.
  • Processing cart fills, refills to automated dispensing machines and replenishments to emergency kits and carts.
  • Demonstrating proficiency with equipment and software.

What We're Looking For
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. 2 Year/Associate Degree, preferred.
  • Experience: One year relevant experience, preferred. If Associate's Degree in Pharm Tech, experience is included in schooling.
  • Licensure/Certification: Registry with applicable State Board(s) of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire upon completion of pharmacy training program as specified by NH
  • Additional skills required: Considerable knowledge of medication names (both trade and generic) and their doses, routes of administration, and adverse effects; the ability to demonstrate patient interview skills and strong written and communication skills with other healthcare professionals.
