About the role
What You'll Do
As a Medical Assistant at Sage Health, you'll partner closely with providers and interdisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional care to our senior patients while supporting a high-quality patient experience.
Responsibilities include:
  • Escort patients to exam rooms, obtain medical histories, record vital signs, and accurately document information in the electronic health record (EHR)
  • Ensure patient charts, lab results, and supporting documentation are complete and available prior to appointments
  • Prepare exam rooms and assist physicians and onsite specialists during examinations and procedures
  • Support providers with virtual patient appointments conducted in patients' homes
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and secure medical records in compliance with HIPAA and Sage Health policies
  • Clean, disinfect, and stock exam rooms while maintaining proper sterilization and infection prevention standards
  • Monitor inventory, maintain required logs and compliance checks, and assist with supply ordering as needed
  • Respond to patient, pharmacy, physician, and internal team communications in a professional and timely manner
  • Coordinate with pharmacies, diagnostic facilities, and external providers to support patient care
  • Perform clinical duties including phlebotomy, injections, dressing changes, and suture removal
  • Participate in team huddles, quality initiatives, and interdisciplinary care coordination activities
  • Travel between Sage Health center locations based on operational needs and staffing support
  • Adapt to evolving workflows and support a fast-paced, growing healthcare environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Minimum of 2 years of Medical Assistant experience preferred
  • Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working with geriatric or underserved populations preferred
  • Bilingual Spanish is a plus
