Job Description

We are searching for an Entry-Level Scientist to support our growing team.

Scientist responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Set-up and conduct experiments in accordance with Protocol and SOP's.
  • Efficiently carry out procedures necessary to complete each project with minimal supervision.
  • Prepare test solutions and diets in accordance with directions.
  • Dose, evaluate responses, perform necropsies, and collect blood, urine, fecal and tissue specimens in accordance with standard operating procedures and protocols.
  • Meticulously maintain precise records of all experiments in accordance with good laboratory practices.
  • Assist in writing of reports.
  • Follow all PSL safety requirements.
  • Ability to safely wear a respirator required
Qualifications

Basic Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in laboratory animal medicine, toxicology, animal science or biology is preferred, or equivalent directly-related experience (two years of directly related industry experience is equivalent to one full-time year of college in related major)
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

The ideal candidate would possess:

  • Experience working with rats or mice is highly desired
  • Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
  • Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
Additional Information

Position is full-time, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. Candidates within a commutable distance of South Brunswick, NJ are encouraged to apply.

Pay range is $21/hr to $25/hr depending on experience.
