- Under direct supervision, applies functional specifications and uses engineering tools to design analogue and digital electronic circuits and embedded firmware for downhole, subsea and surface interface systems.
- Uses software tools or applications to analyse and conduct tests on electronic circuits or systems and document performance in comparison with design criteria.
- Working as part of a team to implement optimal and high-performance firmware by leveraging understanding of embedded hardware design.
- Identifies the testing requirement at a component level with the emphasis on complying with test standards and Halliburton’s Health, Safety, and Environment procedures and evaluates test results.
- Assists in preparation of component specifications, design documentation and preparation for design reviews.
- Contributes to reliability analysis such as risk assessments and Failure Mode Effects Analysis by compiling and examining data.
- Works as integral part of multi-discipline team including Electronics Hardware Engineering, Project Management, Mechanical Engineering, assembly and test, and Software teams.
