Job description

We are looking for a Patient Service Representative to join the team!

The Patient Service Representative will be responsible for:

  • Serving as the primary point of contact for patients in person and by phone
  • Greeting patients, assisting with concerns, and escalating issues when appropriate
  • Checking patients in and out, collecting co-pays, providing receipts, and reconciling payments
  • Verifying patient demographics and insurance information in CS-Link/Epic
  • Scheduling appointments and completing patient registration
  • Processing and tracking referrals and authorizations for various insurance types
  • Handling patient and provider correspondence
  • Explaining policies, procedures, or services to patients
  • Sanitizing workspaces in accordance with department guidelines

The Qualifications for a Patient Service Representative:

  • Experience with medical insurance, referral processes, and benefit plans
  • 1 year of recent experience working in a call center
  • Ability to understand and follow detailed oral and written instructions
  • 2+ years of recent experience as a Patient Service Representative preferred
  • Experience using CS-Link/Epic preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
