Job description

NPX ONE is trusted for exceptional performance. Since 1965, fresh food processors and retailers have relied on our polystyrene and sustainable food trays to improve the integrity, appearance, safety and economics of packaged proteins. This entry level position is responsible for inspecting, stacking and moving finished product from packing tables, bags the product and then places the bag on the conveyor system for removal.
Responsibilities / duties include;
  • Performs work in a safe manner to assure protection of self and others.
  • Becomes familiar with department safety equipment, rules and their necessity.
  • Manually removes all trays from the packing table in the prescribed manner.
  • Is knowledgeable of tray quality and discards sub-quality trays.
  • Informs the Lead Operator or Supervisor of any noticeable change in quality.
  • Maintains an accurate count of bags packed.
  • Maintains and accurate tray count per bag.
  • Maintains a clean work area.
  • Conducts food safety and defense self-inspections and reports on deficiencies.

EDUCATION/SPECIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:
Prior experience working in a manufacturing facility preferred. Must have excellent communication skills, proficient mathematical skills, the ability to systematically work through problems, can work with deadlines individually or as part of a team.
