PackagerPosition Summary
Our Client is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Packager to join its operations team. In this role, you will play a critical part in the final stages of product preparation by ensuring the accurate assembly, weighing, sealing, labeling, and packaging of cannabis products. The ideal candidate is quality-focused, organized, and committed to maintaining compliance with state regulations and company standards while working in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Functions
The Packager's primary responsibility is the meticulous packaging and labeling of cannabis products in accordance with regulatory requirements and company procedures. This entry-level position also involves product tracking and electronic documentation to ensure inventory accuracy and accountability throughout the packaging process.
Responsibilities Include:
  • Package products without compromising quality or consistency.
  • Prepare and apply labels to finished products and verify compliance with state regulations.
  • Track products and maintain accurate documentation throughout the packaging process.
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with state regulations, company policies, quality standards, and security protocols.
  • Work collaboratively within a team environment and assist with tasks as directed by management.
  • Review orders and prepare products for packaging.
  • Monitor products electronically and enter information into tracking systems according to departmental guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage time effectively to meet productivity goals while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment and assist with daily cleaning and equipment maintenance.
  • Attend team meetings and participate in training programs as required.
  • Support team objectives and contribute to overall operational success.
  • Follow and uphold Our Client's core values and workplace standards.
  • Demonstrate collaboration, accountability, professionalism, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements:
  • Must be 21+ years of age
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Must be eligible to work in the Florida cannabis industry, which includes:
  • Completing a Level 2 background screening (fingerprinting) through a state-approved vendor
  • Passing a fingerprint-based criminal history check as required by Florida law
  • Ability to obtain and maintain any required state clearance/credentials to work in a licensed cannabis facility

Working Conditions
This position is performed within a cultivation, manufacturing, processing, and/or dispensary environment.
The employee will regularly use computers, electronic tracking systems, telephones, and other equipment necessary to perform job duties. The role requires a strong focus on accuracy, efficiency, and quality while performing repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Employees may be exposed to environmental conditions including but not limited to:
  • Dust, dirt, fertilizers, and plant material
  • Odors, fumes, and volatile organic compounds
  • High and low temperatures
  • High and low humidity levels
  • Noise and vibration
  • Water and dry salts
  • Allergens, pollen, and plant pathogens
  • Indoor and non-climate-controlled workspaces
  • Elevated work areas and ladders
The position may require flexible scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs. Employees must be comfortable managing multiple priorities and adapting to changing operational demands.
