JOB SUMMARY
  • Assist Project Managers in planning work schedules, determining manpower levels, and arranging for assignment of project personnel.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Requires the knowledge of construction management at a level normally acquired through the completion of an associate's degree in construction management, engineering or related field, or a combination of education and experience within the construction industry.
  • High school diploma/GED is required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Previous experience with Integrated Systems (fire alarm, voice/data, fiber optics, building automation systems, audio visual, CCTV, access control, intrusion and distributed antenna systems) is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Accubid is preferred.
  • NICET, BICSI, RCDD, and OSHA 10 certifications are preferred.

KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
  • Knowledge of construction (technology, equipment, methods, codes); craft agreements, jurisdiction, negotiations, engineering, estimating, schedules and safety.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist Project Managers in planning work schedules, determining manpower levels, and arranging for assignment of project personnel.
  • Advise Project Managers of potential problems, work interferences, and schedule difficulties; assist in circumventing / resolving such problems, as assigned.
  • Perform tasks required to assist in the development and maintenance of budgets for a portion of a project, including coding timesheets, invoices, collecting actual quantities installed, monitoring progress per cost account, identifying potential cost overruns, etc.
  • Perform estimating assignments as required.
  • Assist with or update construction forecast to reflect most accurate / current cost and estimate information.
  • Assist in analyzing work progress and developing craft productivity reports to document cost / budget activity.
  • Calculate / prepare various comparison reports, charts and tables for project analysis.
  • Assist in preparing special reports, studies, etc. requested by the client and/or project management.
  • Assist in management and issuance of subcontracts.
  • Assist with material procurement and coordination.
  • Oversee and/or process day-to-day administrative tasks, including providing supervision and/or on-the-job training to clerical or entry level professional personal assigned to area of responsibility.

  • Assist in ensuring the Company's safety initiatives are followed by all on-site employees; Investigate, report, and correct any safety-related incidents.

  • Perform other tasks and special projects as assigned.
