• This position will be responsible for understanding and analyzing complex business & data requirements.
• Prepare detailed functional specifications that drive the design of data model and ETL solutions for data warehouse.
• This
includes developing a broad understanding of the upstream and
downstream systems and processes, including impact and gap analysis of
current databases and reporting systems.
• It
will perform data analysis using a variety of SQL tools to query major
databases and provide technical assistance as subject matter expert in
identifying, evaluating and developing data solutions that meet business
requirements.
• Helps
with data validation and testing approach, systems testing, and
provides post production support to the data quality processes.
• Provide training, resolve questions, and give direction to less experienced staff.
• Please do not submit DBA (Database Administrators) candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Significant experience with System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Ability to translate business processes and gaps into technical flow and requirements
• Strong data analysis skills
• Strong SQL skills
• Experience with large database such as Oracle and/or DB2
• Understanding of UNIX, proficiency is a plus
• Strong understanding of ETL process for databases
• Experience in testing and data validation
• Good understanding of data quality assurance processes and procedures
• Understanding of database design / data modeling
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Excellent time management skills
• Experience with presentation and facilitation
