Job Description

Job Title : ORACLE BUSINESS SYSTEMS ANALYST

Location : Oak Brook, IL, United States

FULLTIME

Must be US Citizen or Green Card holder

JOB SUMMARY:

The Oracle Business Systems Analyst is a functional/technical resource accountable for the design, implementation, and support of business solutions within Oracle's eBusiness suite of applications. Previous experience with Oracle Transportation Management a plus but not required.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Works with business users to understand/define their business processes, and is focused on improving operations that involve information technology.

Contributes to all phases of system delivery, including requirements, design, development, training, data conversion, testing and maintenance to achieve the successful development and implementation of the customer's business need.

Provides level three support to end-users and works with Service Desk to manage problems/incidents and increase first call resolution rates.

Responsible for documenting requirements, functional requirements, technical requirements, architecture diagrams, solution design and system configurations.

Responsible for hands-on configuration of the system.

Works closely with other IT business analysts and domain experts (such as security, infrastructure, middleware, interfaced systems, etc.) to ensure the optimization of the entire enterprise solution.

Researches and understands industry trends and solution that drive the implementation of business systems

Works with software vendors and service providers to understand hardware and software lifecycles in order to maintain technical/application currency.

Coordinates unit testing, system integration testing, and regression testing.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

3 years of experience working as a business analyst with Oracle eBusiness Applications

Experience with SQL and/or PL/SQL

Previous transportation/logistics/supply chain experience a big plus

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work under tight deadlines and consistently deliver strong results
