Job description

Gojob is hiring a Forklift Operator for a logistics company located in Louisville, KY. As a Gojobber, you will enjoy weekly pay, excellent communication from recruiters, the opportunity to build a career, health insurance and more!

Must have 3 months previous experience operating, cherry picker, dock stocker, and Reach Truck (Raymond Brand)

Shifts:

  • 1st: Mon-Fri, 6am - 3:30pm
  • 2nd: Mon-Fri, 2:30pm - 11pm
  • Weekend: Sun-Tue, 6am - 6pm

OVERTIME SHOULD BE EXPECTED

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize simple go/no go test equipment and gauges to check for component operation, binds, and clearances and make simple adjustments.
  • Responsible for quality of own work in an environment where errors may cause rework or scrap expense.
  • Checks the work products of other assemblers for defects. Fills out audit checklists, as needed.
  • Perform manufacturing and distribution tasks as an entry level and newly trained employee.
  • Follow and apply operational and technical instruction, written and verbal as well as routing, packing and assembly instructions or procedures.
  • Quickly learn new production/distribution techniques and equipment, and adapt new applications to the work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Work history and 3 months of experience on required equipment
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Proficient and knowledgeable on dock stocker, Reach truck, and Cherry picker, and safe forklift operating procedures
  • Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
  • Must be dependable, punctual, flexible and cooperative.
  • Neat and appropriate casual attire.
  • Capable of achieving job proficiency and/or Certification in basic assembly/pack distribution positions within 5-10 days
  • Able to add, subtract, count parts and match numbers to inventory
  • Capable of exercising good judgment and sound decision-making
  • Moderate physical exertion caused by repetitive handling of parts and containers; standing, stooping, bending, reaching.
  • Lift up to 25 pounds.
  • MUST HAVE RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION NO BUSLINE AVAILABLE FOR THE THIS POSITION
  • Must be able to meet targeted PPH (Picks Per Hour)
