Job description

The Equipment Operator plays a crucial role in managing and operating heavy machinery across various job sites. Working closely with a medium-sized team, the operator ensures efficient and safe operation of equipment utilizing both manual and automated/GPS controls. This role involves frequent travel between sites and reports directly to the Site Manager, operating primarily during day shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Operate heavy equipment using manual and automated/GPS controls
  • Travel frequently between job sites to manage equipment operations
  • Maintain equipment functionality through routine inspections and basic mechanical maintenance
  • Collaborate effectively with a medium-sized team (6-15 members) to achieve project goals
  • Communicate clearly with supervisors and team members regarding operational status and issues
