About this opportunity:

The Operations Accounting team seeks an entry-level property analyst (PA) to join the Production Accounting department. The successful candidate will report to the Team Lead, Production Accounting, and apply operational and/or financial skills within the Production Accounting team. The ideal candidate is open-minded, adaptable, and able to meet deadlines while learning all aspects of Production Accounting. They will have strong analytical and communication skills, proficiency in Excel, and will thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented

What you'll do:

  • Manage operated and non-operated oil & gas assets, including maintaining property files and supporting various property types (Operated and Non-op).

  • Process and validate monthly volumetric data, including compiling field reports, confirming third-party data, and analyzing volumes prior to reporting.

  • Prepare and distribute production reporting, including pipeline splits, volumes available, and regulatory filings (AB/SK).

  • Generate and reconcile revenue, royalties (crown and non-crown), and accounts receivable, including monthly pre-balancing and reconciliations.

  • Support financial and operational processes by handling system inputs, assisting with queries, and completing adjustments and reporting uploads.

Who you are:

Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:

  • Legally authorized to work in Canada

  • Minimum of a year of experience in full-cycle production accounting OR related oil and gas accounting

  • Bachelor's degree or CAPPA designation, or equivalent combination of education or relevant work experience.

  • Strong knowledge of oil and gas industry would be an asset.

  • Familiarity with production accounting systems, including Metrix, Petrinex, Energy Components (EC), PVR, ERP systems, Energylink and land systems

  • Proficient Excel skills with excellent data management and reporting capabilities
