SUMMARY

Position will be responsible for analysis of operational financial data, account reconciliation package compilation and review, preparation of journal entries, and various special projects within the Crude Oil Accounting group. Position will interact with the entire crude oil accounting group as well as operations, marketing and financial accounting. Position will report to the Supervisor of Crude Oil Accounting.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Preparation and self-review of journal entries

  • Analysis of operational financial data to ensure accurate accounting

  • Account reconciliation package compilation, review, and tie-out

  • Perform monthly inventory accounting

  • Special projects as needed

  • Process improvement evaluation and implementation

  • Various other analysis and reporting for management

  • Support for financial reporting, tax and internal/external auditors

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Proficient with MS Office products including advanced Excel skills

  • Experience with implementation of AI and other automation tools

  • Capable of establishing effective working relationships that promote teamwork and collaboration

  • Analytical skills with the ability to understand and convey complex information in order to develop a solution or approach

  • Effective in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, adapting to and managing change in a positive and proactive manner

  • Self-directed, motivated and results-driven approach to work, with the ability to meet deadlines

  • Ability to problem solve outstanding issues by working with various departments and external parties.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting required

  • 1 - 3 years of accounting experience preferred

  • Midstream oil and gas experience a plus

  • Oracle experience a plus

  • Cleared criminal history (background) and satisfactory reference checks

  • Compliance with the Company's drug and alcohol policy including pre-employment D&A testing.
