Job description

Vanguard Truck Centers owns and operates full service commercial truck centers in the United States. Our unique footprint allows us to provide a diverse range of products and services across many industries, and across the country. This lets us offer a unique mentorship program we call the Vanguard FastTrack.

The goal of FastTrack is to welcome entry level technicians giving them a clear and mapped out path to success as a technician at Vanguard Truck Centers. Vanguard FastTrack will provide the training and tools necessary by matching the entry level technician with a training program and a mentor over the course of one year. When the technician graduates from FastTrack they will be able to be confident enough to thrive in their career with Vanguard Truck Centers. In return, you will graduate from FastTrack fully trained, certified, and ready to continue your career with Vanguard Truck Centers.

Qualifications:

Entry level Technicians

Basic Set of Tools

Clean Criminal Record

Driver's License

Dedicate 1 year into the FastTrack Program

Responsibilities:

Preforms work as outlined in the FastTrack program with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with dealership and factory standards.

Communicates with mentor and foreman on problems or issues with current job assigned

Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts

Saves and tags warranty parts

Communicates with service advisor or service manager if additional work is needed, not outlined on the ROs

Documents all work performed

Participates in manufacturer sponsored online training for future certifications

Meets with mentor/foreman/service manager on a regular schedule to stay current on needs in training

Keeps shop area clean

Maintains and is accountable for all dealership owned tools and manuals

Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner

Reports any safety issue immediately to management

Safety shoes are required on day one of employment. Employees must wear approved safety footwear at all times while working in designated shop and service areas- Background screening is a mandatory prerequisite for employment consideration.
