Job description

We have an immediate opening for a Property Tax Associate whose primary role will be the valuation and negotiation of complex oil and gas properties. The role is based in Rockwall, TX- 10 miles east of Dallas, Texas. The ideal candidate is a technical, team-oriented, personable individual that can work in an extremely fast-paced environment under deadlines. The right candidate will learn the overall property tax cycle and process, along with the valuation of commercial real estate and negotiation methods. We are a team first culture that involves leaning on the expertise around you, so any experience in this regard is helpful. A general understanding of tax or property tax is helpful but not required.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, mathematics or business
  • 0-3 years of consulting experience preferably within either the finance and/or accounting industries
  • Demonstrated analytical skills with a strong preference for providing financial analysis support in a consulting environment
  • Understanding of basic finance concepts, including concepts related to the time value of money
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel a must
  • Strong communication skills, with the proven ability to coherently express complex concepts, both orally and in writing
  • Detail-oriented
  • Deadline driven, high degree of energy and enthusiasm
  • Willingness to make an effort to learn concepts
  • Travel may be required
