Job description

FemmPro OB/GYN is seeking a dedicated and skilled OB/GYN Sonographer to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional technical abilities, proficiency in sonography techniques specific to obstetrics and gynecology, and a compassionate approach to patient care. As an OB/GYN Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing ultrasound examinations, assisting physicians in diagnosing conditions, and ensuring the highest quality of patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct high-quality ultrasound examinations for obstetric and gynecological patients, including 2D, 3D, and 4D imaging.
- Prepare patients for examinations by explaining the procedure, positioning them appropriately, and ensuring their comfort.
- Operate ultrasound equipment and adjust settings to optimize image quality while adhering to safety protocols.
- Analyze and interpret ultrasound images, providing preliminary reports to physicians.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to discuss findings and contribute to the clinical decision-making process.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including images and reports, in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and infection control protocols.
- Participate in continuing education and training to stay current with techniques, equipment, and best practices in obstetric and gynecologic sonography.
- Assist in training and mentoring new staff or students as needed.
- Maintain ultrasound equipment and perform routine quality assurance checks.
Qualifications:
- Certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) preferred; or registry-eligible candidates encouraged to apply.
- Proven experience as a sonographer, with a focus on obstetrics and gynecology preferred.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology as it relates to obstetric and gynecological ultrasound.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong focus on patient care.
