Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for the ongoing, effective daily operations of Risk Management activities.  Such responsibilities include incorporation of the Corporate TERM/Patient Safety Program into the overall functions of South Texas Health System.  Ensure continuous reporting to System Risk Management Director, Administration and Corporate Risk Management/Insurance.


Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Supervisory experience helpful.
  2. Knowledge of hospital experience would be beneficial
  3. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  4. Strong proficiency in oral and written communication skills (grammar and spelling) necessary for communication with employees, physicians, and guests of the hospital.
  5. Must demonstrate commitment and adherence to STHS’s Compliance Program and Code of Conduct through compliance with all policies and procedures, the Code of Conduct, attendance at required training and immediately reporting suspected compliance issue(s) to the Compliance Officer.

EDUCATION / LICENSURE:

  1. RN and/or LVN licensure or bachelors degree preferred.
  2. Able to drive to other STHS facilities.
