Job description

We are looking for an Attorney to join a firm located in the Dunwoody area. This opportunity is well suited for a motivated attorney who can contribute quickly in areas such as tax-related matters, business transactions, and trusts and estates while continuing to grow under thoughtful guidance. The role offers exposure to meaningful client work in a respectful, team-oriented environment that values careful work, balance, and dependable service. Both part-time and permanent availability will be considered.


Responsibilities:

• Handle substantive legal assignments involving estate planning, trust and estate administration, tax-oriented matters, and business transactions.

• Prepare, review, and refine legal documents with accuracy, including planning instruments, transactional agreements, and related client materials.

• Support clients with entity structuring and asset protection strategies, including work involving limited liability companies and related planning considerations.

• Manage client matters with increasing independence while collaborating with senior attorneys for direction on more complex issues.

• Conduct legal research and apply findings to practical recommendations across tax, trusts and estates, and transactional matters.

• Maintain organized workflows and respond effectively in a practice environment where new matters may require immediate attention.

• Communicate clearly with clients and internal team members to move assignments forward and ensure high-quality service.

• Contribute to a collegial office culture by working cooperatively, respectfully, and reliably across a range of ongoing legal matters.

• Experience in at least one key practice area such as estate planning, tax law, transactional law, or trusts and estates.
• Ability to step into active matters quickly and produce strong written work with limited ramp-up time.
• Demonstrated drafting skills and sound legal judgment in preparing documents and analyzing client issues.
• Self-directed work style with the initiative to manage assignments proactively and meet deadlines.
• Strong interest in tax-related legal concepts, which are foundational to many matters handled by the firm.
• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Approximately 2+ years of legal experience is preferred, though strong early-career attorneys and entry-level candidates with relevant aptitude may also be considered.
