Data Analyst - Risk Management Analytics
Location: Sandy Springs, GA | Job Type: Contract
About the Role
Join a high-impact Risk Management team as a Data Analyst, where you'll drive strategic decision-making across acquisitions, collections, and recovery. Leverage advanced analytics, machine learning, and predictive modeling to solve real business challenges in credit, collections, and pricing. This role empowers you to work with large, complex datasets and transform data into actionable insights, directly shaping the company's risk strategies. You'll collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and global teams, and gain exposure to the latest tools and methodologies in the evolving field of risk analytics.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and monitor robust analytical tools and data-driven solutions for the full risk lifecycle (acquisition, collections, recovery, pricing)
- Extract, cleanse, and validate large, multi-source data to ensure quality, consistency, and accuracy for analytical projects and recurring reporting
- Conduct advanced quantitative analysis using SQL, Python, and new machine learning techniques to uncover trends, segmentations, and business opportunities
- Develop scorecards, KPIs, and performance metrics to support risk-based decisions and strategic initiatives
- Translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for technical and non-technical stakeholders, including leadership
- Support the development, testing, and ongoing monitoring of internal and vendor-provided models in alignment with governance and compliance standards
- Prepare quarterly performance reports, monitor model effectiveness, and contribute to continuous process improvement
- Partner with external vendors to evaluate, implement, and review third-party scoring solutions and ensure compliance documentation
- Stay up to date with emerging analytics tools, methodologies, and best practices to drive innovation within the team
Required Skills and Experience
- Advanced SQL expertise for deep analysis of large and complex datasets
- Strong Python skills for analytics, modeling, and data manipulation (beyond reporting)
- Demonstrated experience developing scorecards, KPIs, and performance metrics
