Position Summary
Lakeland Regional Health is seeking an experienced Clinical Neuropsychologist to join a dynamic, multispecialty team. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment, conducting comprehensive neuropsychological assessments and providing diagnostic and treatment planning services for patients across neurology, neurosurgery, psychiatry, pain management, and more.   • Standard Work Duties: Clinical Neuropsychologist
  • Neuropsychological Assessments: Administer and interpret a broad array of standardized neuropsychological tests to assess cognitive domains such as memory, attention, executive function, language, and emotional regulation.
  • Neuropsychological Assessments: Collaborate with neurologists, neurosurgeons, psychiatrists, primary care providers, pain management specialists, trauma teams, and physical therapists to evaluate and understand the cognitive and behavioral symptoms of patients with neurological and psychiatric conditions
  • Neuropsychological Assessments: Diagnose cognitive, emotional, and behavioral disorders associated with conditions such as traumatic brain injury (TBI), stroke, epilepsy, neurodegenerative diseases, and psychiatric comorbidities.
  • Neuropsychological Assessments: Provide therapeutic interventions, including cognitive rehabilitation, to help patients improve functioning in daily activities and manage cognitive and emotional symptoms.
  • Neuropsychological Assessments: Work with patients and families to develop individualized treatment plans that address cognitive impairments and emotional challenges, offering support through evidence-based interventions.
  • Neuropsychological Assessments: Monitor and adjust treatment plans over time to ensure progress and effectiveness in improving cognitive abilities, emotional regulation, and overall quality of life.
  • Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Collaborate with specialists across various disciplines, including neurology, neurosurgery, psychiatry, pain management, trauma, and physical therapy, to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
  • Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Provide neuropsychological expertise in the assessment and management of patients, contributing valuable insights into the cognitive, emotional, and behavioral impact of medical conditions.
  • Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Educate patients, families, and the clinical team on strategies to manage cognitive difficulties and improve daily functioning, ensuring treatment plans are holistic and comprehensive.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare comprehensive, clear, and clinically relevant neuropsychological reports to support treatment planning and decision-making.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Ensure that all documentation meets ethical, legal, and HIPAA standards.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Effectively communicate findings and recommendations to patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Provides high quality consultation-liaison services to the other clinical departments within Lakeland Regional Health Medical Center.
  • Strives to develop clinical patient care opportunities apart from the inpatient mental health unit that meet the care needs of the Lakeland area and are in keeping with the Mission of the hospital (e.g. Outpatient treatment, involvement with care of patients in the chemical dependency treatment programs, development of new treatment programs, provision of clinical or consultation services to other organizations).

• Knowledge of specialized neuropsychological assessment for conditions like ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, learning disabilities, memory disorders
• Experience using advanced neuropsychological tools, such as neurofeedback

Qualifications & Experience
Essential:

• PhD

• Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Neuropsychology, Psychology, or a related field

Other information:
Experience Essential:
• Completed two-year post-doctoral fellowship in clinical neuropsychology.
• Proficiency in neuropsychological testing and assessment.
Licenses Essential:
- Active Florida licensure as a Psychologist
