JOB DESCRIPTION:
Name of position: IT Technician
Pay: $26.34/Hour + TAP
Hours: 1st Shift, Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm with 1-hour Unpaid Lunch
Onsite in Huntington, IN- relocation package not offered

Position Summary
This position performs tier one level support solves routine client technology problems and works on problems of limited scope. This includes providing end-user hardware, operating system, and application support in a Windows Active Directory environment. Follow existing practices and procedures to solve standard problems. Apply proven communication, analytical, relationship management, and problem-solving skills while possessing good customer service skills. Duties are performed under close supervision.
Essential Functions
  • Provide first level troubleshooting and applies a fundamental understanding or technical discipline with associated employee workstation hardware and software and escalate incidents to second and third level support personnel when appropriate and in a timely matter
  • Knows fundamental concepts, practices and procedures to Install, upgrade, and configure client hardware and software
  • Deploy pre-packaged software as needed using automated deployment tools
  • Help maintain accurate hardware and software inventories and assist in ordering equipment as directed
  • Conducts move changes to support for phone system equipment
  • Provide basic instruction to users on various types of client hardware, software, computer system procedures, and telecommunications equipment
  • Receive and respond to incoming calls, tickets, and/or e-mails regarding PC and/or hardware problems
  • Provide basic audio-visual support for AV equipment
Knowledge
  • Familiar with computer hardware, including desktops, laptops, tablets, smart phones, PC components, and peripherals.
  • Familiar with Microsoft operating systems.
  • Familiar with application software's, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Microsoft Skype for Business, Visio, Microsoft Project, Adobe Acrobat, McAfee, and McAfee end point encryption.
  • Working knowledge of network and PC operating systems.
Experience
  • Experience with front-end technical client hardware and software experience
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
