Responsibilities

The Network Engineer I provides foundational network infrastructure support across Brightstar systems, including Wide Area Progressive (WAP) environments and shared technology services. This role supports installation, maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting efforts while partnering with senior engineers to ensure reliable network performance.

Key Responsibilities


   Provide entry-level network infrastructure support across enterprise systems.
   Assist with installation, configuration, and maintenance of network equipment.
   Perform basic troubleshooting of routers, switches, and related devices.
   Monitor network performance and escalate issues as needed.
   Maintain and update network documentation.
   Support project work related to network delivery and upgrades.
   Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
   Support on-call rotation as required.

Qualifications

   Associate degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience.
   CompTIA Network+ required; CCNA preferred.
   Minimum of 2 years of networking support experience.
   Working knowledge of WAN/LAN, TCP/IP, DHCP, and network hardware.
   Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
   Ability to work in a 24/7 operations environment.
   Ability to travel as needed.

At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $39,848 - $103,002. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program.  Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses.  In addition, we offer employees a 401(k) Savings Plan with Company contributions, health, dental, and vision insurance, life, accident, and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, wellness programs, and identity theft insurance. Note: programs are subject to eligibility requirements.
