How you'll make an impact in this role
  • Prepare high-tech surgical environments by coordinating sterile instruments and specialized supplies to ensure seamless procedural flow.
  • Anticipate the needs of the surgical team by delivering precise instrumentation during complex cardiovascular and neurosurgical cases.
  • Safeguard patient wellbeing by meticulously monitoring instrument counts and maintaining a sterile field throughout the entire operative journey.
  • Support critical clinical outcomes by assisting surgeons with hemostasis and patient positioning to ensure optimal surgical access and safety.
What minimum qualifications you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • One or more of the following required:
    • Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Tech in Surgery-Certified (TS-C) by the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT).
    • Surgical Tech credentialed from the Association of Surgical Technologists (AST) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) by the Association of SurgicalTechnologists (AST)

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
What additional requirements you'll need
  • Educational Foundation: Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
  • Specialized Scrub Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience scrubbing for cardiothoracic or neurosurgical procedures.
