The Entry-Level Accountant is an essential partner to the Museum's daily operations and supports core accounting and reporting activities across earned revenue lines (admissions, membership, retail, and events), contributed revenue, and restricted funds. This role assists with maintaining operating budgets, performing timely reconciliations, and supporting the Museum's financial systems and reporting tools, while helping ensure accurate financial reporting and strong internal controls. This position collaborates with and reports to the Deputy Director/CFO.
Position type: This position will be covered by a Collective Bargaining Agreement withAFSCME-CWU.
Pay: The hiring salary range for the position is $55,700.00-$74,200.00 based on experience.
Benefits: A comprehensive medical/dental/vision plan, that can be extended to domestic partner, spouse, and children. DAM 100% paid Life Insurance, and Short/Long Term Disability. Generous sick and vacation paid- time off, and one personal day. Ten paid holidays. 403(b) Retirement Plan with immediate eligibility to contribute and those who meet the requirements after one year will qualify for the 3% non-elective contribution and 2% match program Free Telehealth and Employee Assistance Program. Free DAM Family Membership and many perks, free yoga for one. This position is based at the Denver Art Museum, which only has a pay-to-park option. Discounted parking is available. Free RTD Eco Pass.
