Roof Truss Builder
Job Profile: JP01133
Position Summary: The Roof Truss Builder's primary responsibility is to build roof trusses for Clayton Home Building Facilities.
Duties / Responsibilities:
• Builder must be able to read a cut sheet and blueprint to build trusses that meet the approved standards.
• Check parts on assigned table/press to ensure proper set up of jig, cord, parts, and nails according to individual truss blueprint.
• Ensure proper nail placement, overhang and king post on every unit produced.
• Be able to meet production requirements in a timely manner while also ensuring the quality of each truss.
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent; or equivalent experience
• Must have the ability to work well with a partner
• Must have a passion for quality and be naturally attentive to details
• Must be reliable and able to work at an efficient pace
• Demonstrates honesty and integrity. Has a strong work ethic. Displays a great attitude and models teamwork.
Physical Demands:
• Must be able to lift and / or carry over 50 lbs.
• Must be able to effectively communicate and exchange information with others.
• Work is primarily completed by standing or walking and may require bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and crouching
