Location: Highland Center, Bretton Woods, NH

Reports To: Food & Beverage Manager / Dining Shift Leader

AMC is seeking a seasonal Dining Room Lodge Crew for the Highland Center. This entry level position works in food service and has a focus on positive guest service. Lodge Crew working in food service supports the communal dining experience at the Highland Center through meal service and maintains a high level of cleanliness in the front and back of house.
 

What You’ll be Doing at AMC

  • Assisting guests and visitors in a positive manner.
  • Interacting with guests regarding local information, lodge amenities, organizational efforts and programs.
  • Greeting, assisting, and serving customers at mealtimes.
  • Cleaning, sanitizing, and inspecting all kitchen and dining areas on a daily basis to exceed NH Board of Health standards.
  • Maintaining the buffet, drink machines, and snack bar during your shifts to ensure cleanliness and well-stocked food options.
  • Working in collaboration with the cook on-duty during meal services to ensure strong communication between front and back of house.
  • Operating the cash register during all meals, selling beer and wine at dinner service, and leading or assisting “dinner talks” to keep all guests informed on the opportunities that evening.
  • Setting up and breaking down meal services, including the completing of side work checklists to ensure smooth transitions between shifts and meal services.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What AMC is Looking For

  • Past experience in camp operations, hospitality and/or work in the outdoors is preferred.
  • Kitchen experience preferred; willingness and interest to learn required.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively and kindly.
  • Flexibility regarding schedule is required.
  • Knowledge of the White Mountain National Forest area is desirable.
  • Must be a team player, detail oriented, well organized, highly flexible, adaptable, and resourceful. 
  • Physical abilities needed: Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds, bend and kneel, and ability to be on your feet for 8 hours a day.

Salary range: $13/hr

The initial salary represents our starting point, and our compensation philosophy is designed to reward and recognize the contributions of our employees as they grow within the organization. External candidates typically begin their journey with us at the starting point of the salary range. The final compensation offer will be based on factors such as experience, education, skills and geographic differential relevant to the position, and will be discussed during the interview process.
