Entry Level Welder- 1st Shift
Since 1974, Stock Manufacturing amp; Design has been a family-run business rooted on the west side of Cincinnati. We are a growing organization with a proven ability to outsell our manufacturing and fabrication capacity in the thriving contract manufacturing and steel fabrication industry.
Position Overview
We are seeking motivated, self-driven individuals to join our team as Entry-Level Welders or Student Welders. Under the direction of the Lead Welder and Welding Operations Supervisor, you will gain experience in MIG welding and fabrication while contributing to production work.
This role is ideal for someone eager to learn, grow, and build a career in the skilled trades.
This Entry Level Welder will be based at the Cleves location. The hours are Monday – Thursday from 5am-3:00pm. There is a high probability of required overtime.
JOB SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Lead Welder and Welding Operations Supervisor, the Entry Level Welder will gain experience in MIG welding, and fabricating various metals for production, and will eventually be responsible for moving between production assignments, .
Job Duties
  • Receive and follow instructions, prints, and work orders
  • Fabricate equipment by cutting, burning, and welding metals using MIG welding
  • Read and interpret blueprints and welding specifications when necessary
  • Fit and assemble standard weldments and structures with multiple components
  • Clean and prepare materials to be welded
  • Set up, assemble, and tack weld parts
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
  • Move between production assignments as skills develop
Candidate Requirements
  • High school diploma
  • Welding program certificate preferred
  • 1+ year of welding experience (not including vocational training)
  • Basic MIG welding experience required
  • Experience using measuring tools such as tape measures and calipers
  • Ability and willingness to learn to read routers, blueprints, drawings, and sketches
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn
