Staffing Specialist / Recruiter (Entry-Level Sales & Customer Service)

Surge Staffing is seeking a motivated, energetic, and customer-focused Staffing Specialist to join our growing team. This is a full-time, permanent internal position offering an excellent opportunity for individuals with sales, customer service, recruiting, or business development experience who are looking to build a rewarding career in staffing and workforce solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to clients and temporary employees
  • Recruit, screen, interview, and onboard qualified candidates
  • Source candidates through job boards, resume databases, referrals, and recruiting platforms
  • Match candidate skills and experience with client staffing needs
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and temporary associates
  • Conduct follow-up calls to ensure employee satisfaction and successful placements
  • Generate and develop new business opportunities through sales and networking efforts
  • Perform client service calls and outside sales visits to maintain and grow business partnerships
  • Promote Surge Staffing services and identify additional staffing solutions for customers
  • Support branch operations through administrative and data entry tasks
  • Assist with employee coaching, performance management, and retention efforts
  • Resolve employee and client concerns in a professional and timely manner
  • Support branch growth initiatives and contribute to overall revenue goals
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year of sales and/or customer service experience required
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in recruiting, staffing, human resources, customer service, or business development preferred
  • Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
