Job description

About the Role:
Facilitates daily reconciliations and prepares monthly financial certifications for key general ledger accounts associated with electronic transaction settlements and internal deposit operations. Performs placement of deposit account interest rate exceptions; calculates and processes interest adjustments on deposit accounts as needed. Oversees various functions including resolution of ATM cash and check disputes, processing foreign and domestic check collections and preparing monthly IOLTA interest payment remittances to states within the Bank's footprint. Fulfills objectives and goals of unit(s) as a member of the Deposit Operations group.
  • Ensures the accurate and timely completion of diverse assigned tasks, meeting deadlines and mitigating risk of loss by following established operating policies and procedures.
  • Delivers exceptional customer service to both branch and department associates.
  • Provide feedback to management regarding recommended changes to policies and procedures.
  • Train new associates on assigned job functions.
  • Performs a variety of functions within the Deposit Operations group. Workloads may require rapid shifts of focus from one functional area to another.
  • Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities - knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes.
  • Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations as applicable to this job description.
  • May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert.
  • Actively learns, demonstrates, and fosters the Columbia corporate culture in all actions and words.

About You:
  • H.S. Diploma/GED, vocational training, or equivalent (preferred)
  • 2-4 years - of customer service experience (Preferred)
  • 2-4 years - of banking experience (Required)
  • Less than 2 years - of bank operations experience (Preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task effectively.
  • Ability to understand and follow directions.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Word and Excel software applications.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, use tact and diplomacy; maintains professional demeanor.
  • Requires basic reading, writing, and math skills.
  • Basic knowledge of relevant bank operating procedures, practices and policies.

The pay range for this role is $18.19 - $27.00.
The pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
