Entry level MFTs are typically working toward full licensure and gaining the experience required to practice independently.

Where do entry level MFTs make the most money?

Entry-level Marriage and Family Therapists (MFTs) tend to earn higher salaries in regions with a higher cost of living and greater demand for mental health services. New MFTs benefit from seeking regular supervision, participating in peer consultation groups, and engaging in ongoing professional development to build confidence and resilience. Establishing a strong support network within the workplace and prioritizing self-care are key strategies for navigating these challenges effectively.
