Job description

This person must be able to travel / work events, which may occur on evenings and/or weekends. Expected travel = 15-20%.

The Role

As a member of the Brand Equity & Activation Team, the Social Media Manager, RYTHM & RYTHM Beverage will develop and execute the social content strategy and production for our RYTHM and RYTHM Beverage brands, with hands-on content creation at the center of the role. This is a maker's seat: you'll shoot, edit, and publish the content that builds these brands, from lo-fi reactive video to polished event capture. You'll work collaboratively with events & experiences, creative, retail marketing, sales, compliance, brand, and external partners to craft authentic moments of connection for our audience.

We're seeking an innovative, creative social media expert who lives social both inside and outside of work. (Don't be shy, show us that screen time!) You have a deep understanding of the voice, tone, and style that resonate across Instagram, Facebook, Reddit, TikTok, and YouTube and you produce your own content masterfully. You can run a shoot, cut a Reel, and turn a moment into a post the same day.

Responsibilities
  • Create content across formats. Shoot and edit short-form video and photography (lo-fi self-produced and event capture), and produce graphics via Photoshop / Canva, for RYTHM and RYTHM Beverage social channels.
  • Travel to RYTHM and RYTHM Beverage events to capture and deliver social content in real time, including evenings and weekends.
  • Develop and execute a winning social strategy (in concert with the Sr. Social Media Strategist) that drives audience engagement and growth while building the brands.
  • Own an ongoing content calendar across all key social channels, in partnership with the broader brand teams.
  • Write engaging, channel-appropriate copy that manifests each brand's voice authentically.
  • Continuously monitor performance and translate channel / campaign data into actionable insights; establish social KPIs and produce monthly reports tracking progress.
  • Conduct periodic competitive audits and implement new / reactive plans as needed.
  • Partner with the Community Manager on community initiatives and the Influencer & Affiliate Manager on creator content.
  • Stay current on platform guidelines and cannabis industry restrictions, with an eye toward successful, compliant workarounds by channel.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years in social media management, building social followings on Instagram & YouTube and ideally TikTok, Reddit, and Facebook.
  • Hands-on content production is required: you can shoot and edit lo-fi photography and short-form video (Edits, CapCut, Premiere, or equivalent) and build graphics in Photoshop and/or Canva. Be ready to show a reel of self-produced work.
  • You love a fast pace and don't mind frequent pivots - cannabis is a highly regulated, fluid industry that demands quick thinking, and social media for cannabis is always changing.
  • Fluent in social tools - Sprout Social, Meta Business Manager, or similar.
  • You write engaging copy that lands the brand voice in a relevant, authentic, channel-appropriate way.
  • You organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects under strict deadlines with a variety of opinionated stakeholders.
  • You eat, sleep, and breathe social - trends, world news, pop culture, fandoms.
  • You understand cannabis culture, and you know which brands show up authentically on social and which are trying too hard.
Additional Requirements
  • Must pass any and all required background checks
  • Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
  • Must possess valid driver's license
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
  • Must be approved by state badging agency to work in cannabis industry
