Food Service Worker
Entry level – Reporting to Director of Nutritional Services, the Food Service Worker is responsible for providing food and nutritional care appropriate for patients of all ages as prescribed by physicians and under the direction of the dietitian for age appropriate food items. The Food Service Worker must demonstrate ability to follow instruction and recipes to complete satisfactory meals based on patient diet orders and modified diet needs using sanitary guidelines. The candidate must also demonstrate knowledge in safe food handling techniques, sanitation procedures, and health codes.

Essential Job Duties:
The Food Service worker will conduct daily duties such as: delivery of meal trays to costumes, patients, and guests of the hospital, assembling meal trays, food preparation and production, cashiering, dish washing, and daily cleaning assignments.


Qualifications

Education/Training/Experience:

  • Previous kitchen experience in an acute care facility preferred, or one year experience in a food related field
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Current County of Riverside Food Handler Card and/or ServSafe Certification required
