Assembly Operator (2nd Shift)
Pay Rate: $19.80/hr
Schedule: 2:00pm - 10:00pm (3 weeks during 1st shift hours)
Position OverviewWe are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Assembly Operators to join our team. This is an entry-level opportunity, ideal for individuals eager to learn and grow within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Assembly Operator ensures assembly operations run smoothly, consistently produces high-quality output, and promptly identifies and communicates any issues.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare machines and equipment each day for efficient operations.
  • Conduct thorough quality checks on assembled materials and products.
  • Clearly communicate any operational issues to setup personnel, technicians, or supervisors.
  • Use inspection tools to independently complete quality inspections; fill out documentation and make adjustments as needed.
  • Apply proper gauging and visual inspection techniques to ensure all products meet internal quality standards.
  • Identify product defects, accurately complete required documentation, and notify relevant parties.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications for accurate product assembly.
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain high safety and quality standards.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; relevant experience considered.
  • Prior work experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment is a plus.
  • Familiarity with or willingness to learn mechanical and assembly processes.
  • Proficient in the use of inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and optical comparators, or ability to learn.
  • Basic math and computer navigation skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English.
  • High energy, self-motivation, strong attention to detail, and a desire to advance in a production environment.

Physical Requirements
  • Able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs safely and consistently.
  • Able to push/pull a minimum of 180 lbs with a hand dolly.
  • Frequent repetitive hand work; tasks rotate daily.
  • Regular standing, sitting, walking, and balancing required throughout an 8-10 hour shift.
  • Capable of working in varying climate conditions (including excessive heat).
