Job description

Manufacturing Technician – Weld Prep & Assembly (Entry Level)

Critical Systems Inc. | Boise, ID | $23/hr | Full-Time

What You'll Do

You'll be a key part of our production floor — preparing materials, assembling components, and supporting our welding operations to deliver precision-built products. This is a hands-on role where your attention to detail directly impacts quality.

  • Measure, cut, and prep materials for welding per specifications
  • Assemble components using hand tools, power tools, and machinery
  • Set up welding equipment and stage materials to support welders
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
  • Perform quality checks to ensure products meet standards
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance and keep your work area clean and safe
  • Document any deviations from standard processes
  • Contribute ideas for continuous process improvement
What We're Looking For
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Any hands-on experience — welding, assembly, fabrication, construction, or mechanical work all count
  • Comfortable with hand tools and power tools
  • Able to read basic technical drawings (or eager to learn)
  • Detail-oriented, reliable, and a team player
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
Bonus (not required):
  • Technical certification in welding or manufacturing
  • Experience with orbital welding equipment
Why Critical Systems Inc.?
  • Stable, consistent schedule — no rotating 12-hour shifts
  • Small team environment — you're not a number here
  • Learn real skills — hands-on training in precision manufacturing and weld prep
  • Room to grow — entry-level title, but we promote from within
  • Safety-first culture — we mean it
Compensation & Details
  • Pay: $23/hr to start
  • Location: Boise, ID (on-site)
  • Type: Full-time
