Automotive Technician/Mechanic Job Responsibilities

  • Diagnose automotive problems as they arise
  • Conduct inspections, repair engine failures, mechanical and electrical systems, and replace parts
  • Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid flushes, and brake inspections
  • Use diagnostic tools and factory software to identify and resolve system faults
  • Perform repairs according to Hyundai and manufacturer guidelines
  • Ensure quality workmanship and conduct test drives to confirm successful repair
  • Participate in ongoing training and certification programs
  • Communicate clearly with Service Advisors regarding recommended repairs and time estimates
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure the service department runs efficiently

Automotive Technician/Mechanic Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience as a Certified Line Technician or Mechanic (Hyundai or Kia experience preferred)
  • Personal tools
  • ASE certifications or Hyundai factory certifications are a strong plus
  • Proven ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement
