Job description

Industrial Plants & Fabrication Sales

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Generate and qualify new sales leads through prospecting, market research, cold outreach, trade shows, and industry networking.
  • Support outside sales and leadership with pipeline development, CRM management, and opportunity tracking.
  • Participate in customer meetings, job walks, and site visits to identify project opportunities.
  • Assist with preparation of proposals, bids, sales presentations, and qualification packages.
  • Conduct market and competitor research to identify target accounts and growth opportunities.
  • Coordinate with operations, estimating, and leadership to align customer needs with capabilities.
  • Support trade shows, conferences, and client events as sales and relationship-building tools.
  • Maintain and update sales collateral, digital content, and customer-facing materials. Support business development initiatives through lead generation, market research, and customer outreach.
  • Strengthening brand presence across digital platforms, trade publications, and industry channels 
  • Plan and execute trade shows, conferences, client events, and community outreach initiatives.
  • Manage website content, social media, email marketing, and promotional materials.
  • Coordinate closely with sales, operations, and leadership to align messaging with capabilities.


SALES PERFORMANCE METRICS & KPIs

  • Qualified leads generated monthly and quarterly.
  • Outbound sales activity including calls, emails, meetings, and follow-ups.
  • Accuracy and health of sales pipeline within the CRM system.
  • Customer meetings, job walks, and site visits supported.
  • Opportunity progression and contribution to proposal and bid win rates.
  • Leads and opportunities generated from trade shows and industry events.
  • Timely and accurate reporting of sales activity and opportunity status.

Specific performance targets and benchmarks will be established based on experience level, territory focus, and company growth objectives.


REQUIRED SALES QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Experience in B2B sales, business development, or sales support (industrial or construction preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to prospect, initiate customer conversations, and support deal progression.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with a professional, customer-facing presence.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, sales tracking tools, and Microsoft Office.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable supporting revenue targets and growth initiatives.


TRAVEL & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods, including jobsite visits.
  • Ability to use hands and arms for handling and manipulating objects and standard office equipment.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.; occasionally more with assistance.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% to fabrication shops, job sites, customer offices, and industry events.
